Universal has reportedly found a director for their long-planned Videodrome remake.
Deadline reports that commercials helmer Adam Berg will make his feature film directing debut with the remake of the 1983 classic directed by David Cronenberg. (Yes, that Cronenberg who recently bashed The Dark Knight Rises and Christopher Nolan.)
Writer Ehren Kruger (The Ring, Transformers 2 and 3, Scream 3, Arlington Road) penned the screenplay and will also produce Videodrome with his partner Daniel Bobker.
When we first reported on the remake back in 2009, we'd learned that Kruger's update take was said to "infuse it with the possibilities of nano-technology and blow it up into a large-scale sci-fi action thriller."
